Have you used that system or can you tell me anything about it?

Instead of a dehumidifier, I have a vent fan hooked to a humidistat so I need the separate heater. Mike and DQ, does the 1500w oscillating heater have a thermostat? (DQ, PRETEND I WROTE MY QUESTION IN CAPS.) :D

My new fish room is coming together. It's 11.5' x 12.5' with a ceiling a little under 8 feet. I'd like to heat the room rather than using tank heaters. What kind of heaters do you recommend?

My overflows are rated at 600 gph max and I had them going full, then dialed it back to cut down the noise. I am probably at about 600-900 gph now. There is noise from the water going down the overflows, from where it splashes into the top of the tower and where it drips through the tower...

3x turnover per hour (180g x 3 = 540 gph) will most likely give you adequate biofiltration if you construct a good sized bio tower with 5g of bioballs or so. I don't find the need for separate mechanical filtration (canisters or hang ons) as long as the water circulates in the tank to keep mulm...

Can you not net them while they sleep? It may take a few nights to catch them napping not in the rocks, but sooner or later they'll sleep or drift in the open. Net them, strip them and back in the tank before they're fully awake. No removal of rocks or decorations necessary.

Sorry, just noticed I didn't answer this question.:blush: I think the drawer set is about 30" tall plus the inlet pipe on top. The drawer frames come apart, so you could take off the top one, or buy one in a different configuration, etc. There are lots of types. Just need to shop til you find...

I used to go years and years ago. The way it worked then was that the items were auctioned off in order. So each seller numbered their own items 1-15 or whatever. If you had more than the 10 or 15 items that made up a seller sheet, you filled out a second sheet. All the 1's were auctioned first...

No big deal. I knew yours were a different variant. I didn't realize that both variants were Zaires which is a fairly LARGE place. :)

I wrote that article a couple years ago. Filter works great. The microfiber pads keep the water crystal clear and the amount of media (it's setup with double towers) is overkill for the tank. I've made some tweaks to quiet it, but it's much better than the Amiracle setup I had before.
