I hope it's not keeping you from starting a thread. Put it where it fits best and it'll get moved if necessary. Pick the cichlid forum where it best belongs or the non-cichlid forum. The forum members here are tight enough that if someone has an opinion, they'll see it and reply.

Mike, if you haven't already done some research on breeding featherfins, you should look into stripping. I seem to remember reading a lot of stories of them not holding to term. It's been a week already, so that's a good sign. 2 weeks to go!

With cyathopharynx, it's not a put down. Many fish are described as being to turn their colors on and off like a light switch, but for these guys it's to the extreme. What's more, they are 99% off. Especially if they see you near the tank. It's why they've always been an obsession for me...

Interesting you say that. I have at least three males in my group. My tank has two sandbeds separated by a large rockpile that is flat-ish on top. The most dominant male has the sandbed to the left. The third male has the sandbed to the right and the second male (though he is the biggest)...
