I guess then you could just wait a couple weeks and net her while she's sleeping so you don't have to break the tank down. I've always had to strip because I've never had enough tanks to remove the mothers to. I never bothered with egg tumblers though, so just waited til the fish were held for...

Mike, if you haven't already done some research on breeding featherfins, you should look into stripping. I seem to remember reading a lot of stories of them not holding to term. It's been a week already, so that's a good sign. 2 weeks to go!

With cyathopharynx, it's not a put down. Many fish are described as being to turn their colors on and off like a light switch, but for these guys it's to the extreme. What's more, they are 99% off. Especially if they see you near the tank. It's why they've always been an obsession for me...

Speaking of sifter fans, Ms. Moderator, what's the deal with sifters being characterized as "Tanganyikan Oddities" on the CF proiles? That needs to be changed to Sanddwellers or something more descriptive. Haven't you people heard of PC? :angry3: :tongue0011:
