    Costa Rican amatitlania map

I have mapped out (almost) all the amatitlania locales I've seen from Costa Rica. Pretty neat to see how the species divide themselves up. Yellow represents yellow cabuya type nigrofasciata (former siquia) Black represents the normal colored nigrofasciata we're familiar with Red represents the...

    BAP Reevaluation?

Are the soda cichlids the ones from that one talk where they lived in the 10 pH hundred degree water and could barely be moved because they died as soon as they got taken out of it? If so that's pretty cool, somewhere down the line I want to get into dambas too but definitely don't think I'm...

    BAP Reevaluation?

Ah I see, also I understand that they shouldn't be classed by rarity, but I just brought it up in regards to comparing different species on the list because those rarer species are usually coincidentally harder to breed than their more common relatives, sometimes being the reason they are rare...

    BAP Reevaluation?

Not sure if it's possible or if it's been brought up before, but just a suggestion, after looking over the list of genre/species and their classifications for grading, I was confused as to why certain species were listed as category A (as in easier to breed) while others were considered category...

30 gallons of aquarist holy water

I'd assume all my luck for the year has been used up on this singular instance; Some side info, I live in an area where the tap pH ranges from 7.8-8, so as a result I'm usually stuck with fish that actually like that water. Never had luck with low ph fish that had been "acclimated" to live in...

Are these in the hobby yet?

no, the ones in the pics are the rare mutation of n.pulcher (not brichardi sorry don't mind the mistake in my first message) that seems to randomly pop up in wild colonies of n.pulcher and brichardi also known as kushangaza same type of thing with that golden tropheus from a few years ago

Are these in the hobby yet?

I forgot the locale, but they're just essentially the ob of brichardi. Anything like this in the hobby yet? It would be amazing to have a colony of these.

    Just some convicts I've produced

I have a few females like this, trying to breed them because they look exactly like their mother. Trying to see if I can breed them and produce more/possibly even brighter colored convicts. Their mother (and father): Picture doesn't do it justice, or maybe she wasn't happy at the time, but...

How do I get damselflies out of my tank

Ah ok that's pretty reasonable, I don't expect there to be that many in the tank so she should be able to get them all down by Thursday.

How many did you have in your tank? I don't think I have too many so the trimac should make pretty quick work of things but just wondering

How do I get damselflies out of my tank

A bunch of them hitchhiked, and are now in my planted 30 gallon, I don't want to go looking for living, locomoting needles in my aquatic haystack, and I plan on getting shrimp and rabbit snails so I don't want to do any kind of poisoning. What should I do? There's no fish in there right now...

What is our general consensus of fish TB?

My current understanding is, every fish in the hobby that isn't wild caught and thrown directly into your tank, has it. Anything from a big importer that comes in contact with tank raised fish will carry it, and it only affects things that are unhealthy or stressed. Should it be a direct concern...

Any interest in A.stuartgranti "usisya type tanzania"?

Nope, guppy was in there because he was a pond guppy and I didn't have a tank to put him in without him messing up one of my other lines. Now I do and I got him and his female out of there I will be sure to let everyone know when I have gorgeous f1 fry available.
