I did 20-50% WC's on all tanks, including my new emersed set up today. Added a powerhead to both 75g and the emersed set up. Watered air plants (in the tanks), changed around some rip containers.

Performed a tattoo(hard water stain) removal on my 50gal breeder plant tank. Like most of my tanks it's been empty since I got crushed by the big snow storm(thanks Pepco)
The glass had some really tough deposits from me leaving it !/4 full and letting the remaining water just evaporate out, I tried vinegar full strength that didn't work. Next I tried CLR Cleaner(Calcium,Lime Rust) full strength and let it sit a little while. This worked some but the stains seemed like they were etched in the glass.
Finally I remembered my mentor George had told me once about using Muriatic Acid as a last ditch effort. Although I would not recommend this method because its probably cheaper and safer to just buy a new tank(Gloves,mask,googles,Acid around$60) since I already had the proper equipment I took everything outside tried it.
It took a couple times but it worked. Like I said before I wouldn't recommend this method because it has to be done outside and you need a bunch of safety equipment

Water changes...... Realized I really suck at planted tanks......... started water logging a Driftwood stump...... Decided to start a 10G SW tank.

i did water changes on about 40 tanks and shuffled about 8 tanks around. New racks are coming together but ****, its a pain in the butt doing teh multi-tank shuffle!

I changed water on about half of my fish room and stripped a few fish.
Finally turned down the temp in the 150. Ich free.
Got 10 free-swimmers from a female Cyp leptosoma.

Moved the empty 75 again to move the 4 10's from where the 75 was to go. The 10's put where the 75 was. Changed the pvc airline for the 10's and had to rig up something to aerate the other shrimp tanks that I haven't moved yet.
Cleaned the gravel in the 75 and moved the 20H and stand next to it.
Moved the severum male to another 75 because his tankmate (pike) was chewing on his arse a bit.
Did a partial wc to the 20H and refilled the resevoir.

Moved some fry today.
Did water changes in 6-20's, 1-15, 1-33, and 8-10's.
Then I ran out of energy. LOL
Yes recovery is going well. Just slow. Well I think it's slow anyway.

Returned from a Sun thru Friday AM trip to find the fishroom....in good shape.
Did quick water changes on the big tanks and checked everything out. Only lost a couple: one acara to aggression...and a female Panama Convict who hopped the wrong the divider (into the tank with a pair of Cubans).
For anyone worrying about being away for the weekend and making arrangements for your fish...DON'T. Feed them well prior to the trip. Do water changes a day or so before you leave. Put your lights on timers...and go enjoy yourself!

Water changes on 14 more tanks today. replaced a couple burned bulbs.
Now rest for a little while. LOL
