PVAS Fall Auction - Sunday Oct 4th - Fairfax, VA

We typical get over 1000 lots of fish, equipment and plants.

We use the MyGroupAuctions system similar to CCA mini-auctions.

We will have a live fish raffle for Rainbowfish - tickets will be $2 for that and the dry goods raffles.

The changes for those who have been to previous auctions are:

  • no minimum bids(used for fixed price(e.g. tag sale))
  • all buyers must register and all items are recorded on the bidder number
  • early registration incentives
  • all dry goods must be fixed price

CCA Members
For those who are buying at the auction, it will be very similar to past PVAS auctions. The only tweak all buyers must have a bidder card. Both fixed price(tag sale) and auction purchases will go on your tab.

The biggest change for sellers is merging the Tag Sale and Auction into one MyGroupAuctions listing. This means the minimum bid field is used for a fixed price rather than a minimum bid.

One thing that makes these auctions run smoothly is pre-registration of items. If you would like to sell, I recommend registering your items as soon as possible.

We have a couple incentives for early registration of items.
For all sellers who register auction items early you will receive up to 20 "green dots" which mean they will go in the first group of auction items.
For PVAS members who register fixed price(tag sale) items early - you will get $1 in auction(or raffle) credit per item registered - up to $20 per membership.

It's true. I was there, and got to hang out with CCA royalty: Our President, Christine Keys, and our Vice President, Andrew Schwartz.

I didn't buy much: a plant and a group of F1 Corydoras sp. CW032. Got outbid on some other fish.

I did manage to clear some space in my tanks, however.

It was another excellent PVAS auction!
