I started a website and asked for someone to come up with a logo for the site. Pat absolutely blew me away with his pictures. He gave me the link to CCA and I joined.

When I got into "serious/hobby" keeping of my cichlids, I decided to google search for local fish clubs and landed on this one. I lurked the forums, and tried to join, but kept getting my username rejected (spam, lol Pat). Then I made it out to the first 2009 meeting and was hooked instantly.

I also noticed a CCA sign at my LFS that I really never caught on (last year or so).

But I would say, google search for me.
