Why we cancelled the Monster of a Tank Give Away.

After having 2 successfull 90 gallon tank setup give aways, we have decided that this needed to stop.

There have been many people that have made the comment that their spouse would kill them if they brought the prize home.
Not everyone can use a big tank in their home or office.
So because of this and some other reasons we have decided to cancel the tank promotion.


I want to thank Li and the Monster Aquaria Network for sponsoring this give away.

I have often posted on forums that only CCA could bring you a promotion like this.

How many other clubs give away a 90 gallon set up.

But, it is to be NEVER MORE.

But don't get too discouraged.

Thanks to MAN, we are now going in a different direction.
For each meeting that you attend between January 15 and the June meeting you will get 1 point.
For each new club member that you refer to the club during that period you will get 2 points.
Each point equals 1 raffle ticket.

At the June meeting those points will be converted into tickets and put into a container.​

A winning ticket will be pulled and the winner will get a $100.00 gift card to a local fish store that supports us.

But that's not all.

Since a $100.00 gift card is a lot less than the 90gallon set up we have decided to give 5 gift cards.
That's right, there will be 5 winning tickets pulled and 5 $100.00 gift cards.
At the June meeting we will have 5 $100.00 gift cards for at least 2 of the stores that support and sponsor us. The person who wins the first gift card will get to choose which store they get. ​

basic rules
You must be a CCA Club member in good standing.
You must be 18 or older.
You are responsible for making sure that the person who is keeping track knows you are there. You need to tell him or her your name for the list.
You must be at the meeting when the ticket is drawn to win.
The referral must be a new member. It can not be a renewal.
A family membership will get a max of 2 points for each adult and they must be there.

This is GREAT! I'll bet that about 30% of the people to whom I gave tickets for the last tank giveaway said that either they didn't know what they'd do with a 90g, or that their spouse would not be too happy, and one person even passed up the tickets because he didn't need anything that big. This is much, much better! Thanks to all involved in setting this up.
