Where can I buy black sand cheap?

I have pool filter sand from leslie's and it has been perfect: inexpensive, natural looking, not too small a grain size that it flies into the impeller.

I'd like to get some black sand for another tank. The keys are:

1. not too small grain size that it flies all over the place, clouding up the tank and damaging the filter (e.g. play sand often does this)

2. not incredibly difficult to clean

3. the least expensive sand that meets criteria 1 and 2.

Know of any brand in particular and where I can get it?

3M Colorquartz is nice, but not cheap.

Tractor supply company has "black beauty" on sale - it's blasting sand. Have heard mixed reviews on it.

Sarah, I'd like to get 100lbs of black 3m but I won't see you until the july picnic. If you could get me some then, I'd be most appreciative!!! I've got this stuff in my black calvus tank and love it. It settles soooo fast, not the easiest to clean, not the cheapest, but it sure "performs" well in the tank. I think the fish would have to spit a mouthful into the intake for it to get sucked up into the filter. If I could get it locally, I'd switch all my tanks over to it (not all black tho).

I can't get 3M Colorquartz for 40 cents a pound at wholesale in the metro DC area - so if you can get it from Baltimore that cheap I suggest you go for it.

The bags from my source BTW are 50lbs.
