Male and second female moved. Just mama, two bristlenose plecos, and wigglers. Should I move the plecos?

What is everyones thought on possibly putting them in a breeder box to keep them from getting eaten once they are free swimming?

Like Will said, I've noticed that there will be some losses rearing fry in a breeder box due to competition.

They don't do well when I move them. I lost a whole batch several months back by putting them in a ten gallon. I plan on keeping them in the 75 they are in now. Just need to be able to feed them.

I like using crushed flake and bbs, but I am concerned I won't be able to get food to them in such a large tank.

Is it a established tank? Is there Decore or plants etc? Then you will be fine they will find things to eat off of. You can also feed them well then up the water changes....but the fry In the 75 being fed well shouldn't create too much waste

I know they will feed off of microorganisms, but is that enough? Its been established since last August with no problems. Previously, this tank had been set up for 2-3 years, but I moved states, so I doubt much of the beneficial bacteria survived.

It won't be enough but it helps significantly.
In my experience if you forget a feeding they won't starve bc they can eat a snack here and there - but in a breeder box they won't have that opportunity. Plus microworms will be distributed evenly through the water column.
2-3 feedings a day will be awesome btw

Bowie, so no go. Anyone near Bowie wanna share? The fry are free swimming. They will be with mom for 2-3 days and then I am pulling her once I see them start to eat. Sound right to y'all?
