Ramshorn snails cease to surprise me

so i got some water wisteria a couple weeks back at an auction, then a couple weeks later some leopard ramshorns that had apparently hitchhiked on it started popping up. i was happy with just the leopards, but on top of that, as they matured, some have turned to a brilliant blue. i moved the...

Questions on how environment affects male peacocks, along with some other general questions about peacocks.

Thanks for the info, but woops I should have worded the second question better Would a solitary fish's lifespan be increased if it didn't have the stress of breeding/fights over dominance along with good water quality and a good diet?

Questions on how environment affects male peacocks, along with some other general questions about peacocks.

I had a couple questions on the subject, and Reed from VeryFishe was very helpful with my questions and answered a few already, but I will ask them again to see other people's perspectives on the topic. I am planning on jumping into peacocks after a couple years of keeping central american...

Help with bristlenose plecos, strange wounds in the fins and emaciated bodies

I have a 30 gallon tank housing a group of l144a plecos growing out, as well as an l183. I started with 4 l144a's. but I lost one for some strange reason. First, almost overnight, its tail and fins became torn to shreds for some reason, it just looked like something took a ragged bite out of the...

Neolamprologus brichardi and Neolamprologus leleupi colonies in the same tank?

Just a hypothetical question, if the tank is big enough, would it be able to work? Not sure if there's any information on it online, but everything I could find was just people asking if the two could hybridize or live with frontosas in undersized tanks. I think it'd be interesting to have...

Tight schooling tetras that can go with my acara

pH is high just because that's how my tap water comes out, and maybe instead of tetras I could go with some sort of barb? Maybe tiger barbs?

Tight schooling tetras that can go with my acara

Just looking for something that looks nice, schools tight, is big enough to not get eaten, and can handle a high pH. The acara is one of Jeff rapps' esmeraldas gold acara, she's about 4 inches long and the tank is 29 gallons.

Can anything else breed in the same tank as breeding bristlenose/guppies?

As for red root floaters, I plan on using some sort of airline tubing as a barrier to prevent it from growing past a certain point. like I said before, rhenana, while it's gonna be harder to find, sinks rather than floats. I can always just move clumps to another tank or give it away if it grows...

Can anything else breed in the same tank as breeding bristlenose/guppies?

what if I breed things like super red longfins and some sort of high end guppy? also come to think of it would angelfish in there work or would they just eat the guppies? (probably a dumb question)

Can anything else breed in the same tank as breeding bristlenose/guppies?

yep definitely, even the long tailed babies are still super fast I saw one guy did it where he took them as eggs and put the clutch in an egg tumbler, they all hatched that way and he raised the batch from there in another tank maybe I could try that if I see a male sitting on eggs, but then...

Can anything else breed in the same tank as breeding bristlenose/guppies?

Here's what i planned the tank out to be: (don't mind the crude illustration) 40 breeder, pleco caves evenly spaced out on one side, a decent amount of driftwood a piece of driftwood would separate the substrate from the bare-bottomed portion of the tank, which would be filled with riccia...

Can anything else breed in the same tank as breeding bristlenose/guppies?

I plan on getting a 40 breeder somewhere in the future, and breeding bristlenose and guppies in it. can anything else breed in there? if so what? I already looked into shrimp and ramshorn snails, the shrimp would probably get eaten by the guppies, plus i plan on growing plants to sell in there...
