    Canopy And Filter

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Sonny Disposition @ Jun 17 2008, 08:08 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div> [/b] ok, I will try. I don't think my husband took any 'during' photos of the filter though. but it's a fairly simple concept and I can get more photos of the finished product.

    Canopy And Filter

yeah, I couldn't find any weld on locally and I am too cheap to have it shiped  my husbands idea really is better though. there are fewer places that need to be sealed and it was faster to make. plus I wasn't very good at cutting the plexi, it was jagged. of course it is...

    Canopy And Filter

The current filter was my husbands idea, based on my original but not so good idea. Mine was to make the canopy a bit wider then the tank so it would go all the way to the wall, this would allow enough room for the shelf for the filter and for the lights and still let me feed the fish and change...

    What A Great Meeting

just now seeing this. I am really glad those decorations got a good home. My husband suggested the trash can since trash day was the day before the meeting. but I hoped someone could use them. Those castles are kinda neat looking, and the anchor cave thing looks like a good hiding spot.

    Tomorrow's Meeting

I have: Flu-val 403 some driftwood on slate with a java attached. some rocks maybe some nice looking gravel. I kinda want to keep it, but it's not in the tank since I wanted shellies, and my husband will probably kill me for just having it around in bags... a pice of styrofoam, about 2'X4'X3/4"...

    Filter Leaking

thats the problem. It leaks so its just been sitting dry. why I didn't put the bio in the tank is probably just because I am stupid..... :smashfreakB: but my husband would kill me if I just let it sit there leaking. even if I used a towel or something.

    Filter Leaking

yeah, I have been thinking about just buying a new one. this one did have an already established bio though  it also came with an old fluval 403. but the old owner thought it was an undergravel filter and she wanted plants so she didn't use it. I don't know if I even have all the parts...

    Filter Leaking

no. I went to petsmart today and they didn't have an o ring. everywhere online is super expensive once you add in shipping (and I am cheap :) ). so I am having a hard time finding one. :(

    Dirty Python

for bleach you could use a funnel.... or a bathtub. could also use vineger that way, not as bad if you don't get it all out.... tie a string to the tail of a mouse and send it down. then use the string to pull a brush through... problem with that is the mouse might not understand that it isn't...
