How long a drive is it from Maryland?
Also, I was checking out their website and couldn't find a specific agenda or anything. The dates listed are July 22 (Thursday) through July 25 (Sunday). Generally speaking, when does what happen during these conventions? Speakers, auction, show, banquet, etc...
Would you miss much if you came in Friday morning and left on Sunday morning?

there are some speakers talking after noons on thursday and friday.. because of the field trips.. and more talks on sat.
friday night usually the BABES auctions... if you never been there... you should check it out...
sat. night is the banquet..
sunday all day is the auction... then after auction... there is the babe banquet...
since im doing a road trip with my family... i will be leaving monday... and going to be there around wedneday... and leaving monday morning...

Sounds like getting there Thursday mid-day and leaving Sunday evening would be ideal (or leaving Monday AM).
If I go, I'll probably end up taking off Friday and Monday... fly out on Thursday after work and come back Monday AM.
What do folks do with the fish they purchase early in the weekend? Set up tanks in the room? If I was driving, I'd probably end up bringing a load of 5 gallon buckets, heaters and sponges. What's a good way to do it if you fly there?

I have some plastic storage containers that I sometings put in a suitcase. IN the container I take a couple sponges, heaters, air pump etc. I put them in a small styro and pack in the suitcase.

I follow the Ted Judy way. lol the cooler has a latch on it with a D-ring. Not locked but keeps it closed. I have "live fish" "Please inspect" writen all over it.

I have flown Air Tran several times, they are fine. I can't believe how many people have never heard of them before, they are actually one of the biggest airlines now.

I'm not staying there.... about 25 minutes away. Downtown at the Double Tree Inn for 30 dollars a night WOOT No, it's not normally 30 dollars.... obviously. Also, free rides to the Casino

Go to the new discovery center downtown.... for the people wanting something fun to do. They have a science center and an aquarium.
Eat german food.. the area has quite a few good joints. If you like to go expensive and authentic but FANTASTIC... there is one down town. I'll ask hubby the name if anyone is interested.
Architecture... down town... FANTASTIC. If you are into it at all... just drive around and you will be amazed.
Durangos pizza... YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY.
The zoo is a really nice zoo as well... went a few years ago.
Casino.. of course. Free drinks and they do have free bus rides... not sure if they will go that far out of down town. You'll have to look it up.

One thing that is nice about the town is it isn't overly expensive to do anything in comparison to Cali or here. You'll have fun with Tracey, Pat Very down to earth friendly place.

sorry .. hard to pass up the double tree inn for 30 vs 150 bucks a night :lol: Parking free, drinks cheap. All food we get discounted as well.....
