I wish, cleaning the sunroom. Kids got something sticky on the floor. This is the second time I've had to do it... and I've mopped the stupid room three times today. It's that slate tile stuff - looks great, hides dirt well and a good thing since it is a PAIN IN THE A S S to actually clean. I'm on a waiting for it to dry to make sure it's not sticky break right now... lol

So, I've got my
Hotel room reserved,
convention registered,
and this week bought my plane tickets.

Found Airtran for $138.00 round trip plus tax.
Even a direct flight. Not bad.
I even checked into flying into Chicago and driving the last couple hours but Chicago was more. lol

Tracey and I are flying in on Monday so we can look around for a couple days. Coming home on Sunday. Usually I stay later but since I am flying, I am not too worried about the auction. If I find something I will put in luggage. lol

Only thing left is to decide on a rental car.

Only thing left is to decide on a rental car.

Check the rental websites early and often-the rates change almost daily at some places. When I went to Florida last year, the first time I checked 3 or 4 rental places the price was about $329/week. I checked again a few days later and the same cars were $400+/week. I kept checking and finally got one for $239/week.

3. You must put in your time at work as soon as feasible.
a. consider making it a family vacay...or not.

Can anyone other experienced ACA attendee think of other things to consider?

If you are going to make it a family vacation like we did a few years ago when we went to the AKA convention in Milwaukee, here's some things to consider:

1) Cave of the Mounds

http://www.caveofthemounds.com/

2) Jelly Belly Tour

http://www.jellybelly.com/visit_jelly_belly/wisconsin_factory.aspx

3) Only about 1 1/2 hrs from Chicago - we stayed in Chicago the first few nights then went to Milwaukee

3a) Of course, Shedd Aquarium

http://www.sheddaquarium.org/sea/

3b) Navy Pier

http://www.navypier.com/

4) Don't forget the Whaling Walls by Wyland in both cities:

Just some thoughts for you to consider.

I'm very seriously considering going, especially if I can find a flight under $200....

I am contemplating whether or not to go, but it's all relative to my schedule, money, and time. We shall see...

I just searched Airtran from BWI to Milwaukee, you can get good rates if you book now! As low as $69 each way. As low as $50 from Philly.

Yeah Air Tran has a flight from BWI to Milwaukee for $157.00 and from Milwaukee to BWI $138.00. These prices include tax, I just checked last night I was going to book the flight but I wanted to investigate Air Tran Airways first. I have never heard of them before yesterday and just want to make sure it wasn’t too good to be true lol.
