Update on kribs from Sept. auction

So I decided to branch out of the three lakes and go West African. Nothing big nor special, but I had to start somewhere. I got the kribs that were in the auction and the next day I had a tank up and running for them.
I only have females now, still trying to find some nice males.

I have a couple of harl. rasbora's and bloodfin tetra's as dithers.

Here's some pics,

I would say the most dominant and aggressive female in the tank,

The female kribs look really good. Have you considered any other west africans? Pelmatochromis nigrofasciatus is a favorite of mine, though I have not come across them in lfs in many years.

Phil, great pictures and a great Westie.

How ironic, just today I picked up my first pair of Westies in 32 years...
A pair of Pelvicachromis taeniatus ‘Nyete’.

House of Tropicals had a tank full of large kribs marked "wild" if the auction doesn't work out. Good way to diversify the gene pool.
