Here's a pic of the Mananzilla Wood that I bought from Rachel at the September CCA meeting with the large Anabias that I won in the auction in my newly set up 65g. Fish also aquired at the CCA meeting.

After my tank disaster with my rimless 17g, I set up a new 37g tank with some manzanita.

It has some juvie Daisy's Blue Rice fish (Oryzias woworae), some Green Lace Shrimp (Atyoida pilipes) and Tangerine Tiger Shrimp.

The tank just got planted this week and has a lot of filling in to do!

I really like how branchy that manzanita piece is, Arlene. Can't wait to see the tank all filled in.

Actually there are three pieces of manzanita. I cut off the excess pieces that were too wide or didn't match each other. Then I stuck them in the substrate and have the plants hide the bases where I cut them.

how are you liking those Atyoida pilipes? They are probably my favorite shrimp. Looks beautiful :)

I love them! They are funny and love hang out in the path of my two micro jet pumps. Sometimes they pile on top of each other to get in a better position and block the others. And they do it over and over again. Makes me laugh.

Two of them have already molted and then their body has these very beautiful reddish brown markings over the greenish background. Very pretty!

I have always liked the bamboo shrimp, but those got too big for tanks with nano fish and shrimp in them. These are perfect because they are smaller and just way prettier and cuter.

I'm glad I got them!
