Show us your manzanita!

I know a few folks have recently purchased manzanita wood....I'd like to see how you are using it in your tanks.

Here's what i did tonight with some of my new pieces.

Looking good Christine! Did you have to soak the wood for it to sink or is it not as buoyant?

I'm lazy....if I don't have to soak it, I don't. I wedged one piece up underneath the center brace, and then kind of hooked the other two pieces into that one. The manzanita sinks pretty quickly. I'll go back in a few weeks and make some final adjustments on the exact placement if I need to.

I really like the look of this tank and the colors of the fish really go well with the colors of the plants.

My initially sincere and comparative flattery would have been more expansive save for the fact that ye are life-partnered and as such decorum (the little I observe) requires that I limit the scope of my remarks.

Really are nice looking tanks, would have expected nothing less.

Me and my stepson recently setup a 56gallon colum. and the main decoration was manzanita that i purchased from Rachel at one of the meetings.

Nice! That's the same size tank I have in the 2nd picture I posted. I'm finding that I really like the manzanita arrangements (like yours) that look like roots growing downward.
