Potting plants

I grabbed a huge amazon sword from the auction and I ended up planting it in a medium sized clay pot with some black fluorite and a few river rocks to keep it rooted. Will it live properly like that? I see videos sometimes where people have BB tanks and potted plants and it seems like a nice clean way to do my grow out tanks.

Yes, provided that you do not bury it too deep. The crown of the plant must be above the gravel line. Otherwise, it'll thrive.

Potting swords helps keep them smaller. :)

Thanks guys. I only had enough fluorite for half the pot so I may mix in some more pea gravel or something to help keep it rooted while the root system developes. It's so big it's bent way in half until I can move it to the 75. The cover it provides has brought my chocolate out of his shell though he's very happy about it.
