His Program: "Raising Fry from Egg to Adolescence"
This talk will describe challenges facing an aquarist when trying to raise fry from egg to adolescence and present several strategies that can be used to beat those challenges. All types of fish from cichlids to livebearers are covered.

Ted was here last year and talked to us on Pelvicachromis.

I will provide more information as we get closer.

As usual we will have a couple of chicken wings at the meeting. lol

Don't forget to bring something for the auction. We had a heck of an auction last month and I hope it carries over to this month.

The raffle will feature the usual stuff from the manufacturers and a filter.

I still have a couple copies of Trophy Discus left from last month. I had them autographed by Dick Au before he left.
I believe there are a couple copies of the Asian book he brought with him also.

Don't forget that the elections are this month. They will be conducted right before the speaker starts.

Come see what all the talk is about. The club is growing and the word is out there.
We are A Growing Force in the Cichlid Hobby.

100 will be great in 2008.
and all the usual stuff I say.
Or as Mike says. 99 would be fine before 2009. lol
We are getting very close to my goal. Lets bring a new person this month.

The auction will include a Carbo Plus unit that one of the manufactures has donated.

I ran a search on this and see it goes for $169.00 plus shipping on the web.
It is a CO2 supply for planted tanks. According to a post I found on GWAPA, it is fine for smaller tanks and is used for those that do not have CO2 tanks and regulators.

Anyway, there you go plant people. If you were getting started with plants. This is for you.
In the auction it will not bring any where near that price and all the money goes to the club.
So bring your money and work out that bidding arm. lol

Oh, and since October is Catfish Convention month, there will be
A new 2006 catfish convention XL t-shirt in the auction as well.

So even if you did not make the last convention. Wear this and everyone will think you did.

And since I am going through the stuff and putting together the grab bags I found a book..........

There will be a Back to Nature Guide to Catfishes in the raffle.

So far that makes the bags, a filter, the book....hmm what else can I find.

Sounds good to me. By the way, I like the info you posted to GWAPA. There are a lot of folks there who keep 'critters' in their planted tanks!
