My favorite cat...

Hey, congratulations! Glad to hear your fish got together. I'm actually hoping to breed my favorite cats, too. I have a smaller Ameiurus serracanthus, too, which I'm feeding heavily so he/she grows faster.

When they're the same size, I'm planning to put them together. I'm hoping they're a pair. If they don't kill each other, maybe they'll breed!

Ok, I'm silly excited...

Doing water changes and checking in on my pleco's today...

I saw that these L174's were hanging out really close to each other in two caves. So, I got curious and took them out with the caves and water. Grabbed my flash light... and low and behold... I have wigglers!!

I am so happy! These guys are silly hard to breed ( found out, they are harder than zebras at the catfish convention !!! ) Only a few people in the world have bred them from what I heard at the convention. And since I am no pleco expert and just play around with them my hopes had been squashed when I heard how hard they are to breed.

I am super lucky and a super happy girl today in my fishy world!!!

And it makes me feel really good as these are ones of those fish that will most likely be extinct in a few years due to the dam they are building in Brazil... so I am helping the hobby too :)

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how many do you have? :)

It looked like three

The breeders are small ( 2 inches at the most )... what suprised me the most was the size of the eggs. All the pleco's I have bred have pretty good sized eggs... these are itty bitty. About half the size of ABN's, L270 and L333's....

They have very small spawns in comparison to other plecos like them from what I have heard. For instance... L270's usually have about 12 to 19....
