May Meeting

I wanted to say thanks to everyone involved with the club and especially the organization of the May meeting. Yesterday's (I guess it is technically Sunday now...) meeting was my first CCA event and I was very excited and happy to be met with such a warm welcome. The people were great, the "lecture" was informative, and the auction was fun.

I should have bid on that 55g. Who cares if I don't have anywhere to put it yet...the key word is yet :)

Either way thanks so much it was a fantastic time and I hope to attend another event (and possibly become a member) when I'm not stuck at school in NY.

Cheers!

I have never kept a single Discus, but thought that John's talk was great!

As for the auction...who is that guy who auctions?

LOL. He smells like hot sauce.

I'm glad that you had a great time. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you personally, but looking forward to in the future!

He smells like blueberries.:p

I'm just making something up. I have no idea if what he said was good or not :) I don't have any experience with Discuss...but if he's been doing things the way he said for that long then he must be doing something right.

I did take a look around the grocery store for venison and beef heart but to no prevail :)

I missed you at the meeting, Tony. I have some venison in the freezer if you're going to try the recipe. It's from Rushford, NY too! Most grocery stores won't sell it as it's not FDA inspected. They won't even grind up butchered cuts for you. You'd have to go to a speciality butcher.

Those Discus looked very pretty too (I know they were still young but still...very cool fish)

I was also kidding about trying the recipe. I appreciate the offer though. I really don't have anything I could feed that mix to :)
