May Meeting Of The Capital Cichlid Association

Spencer will also be talking, 3 days later, at the PVAS meeting. Where he will be presenting "Collecting expedition to Uruguay".
He then flys to Bermuda to give that club a talk. As you can tell he travels thousands of miles each year just to give talks to clubs (10 or more talks a year), let alone his collecting trips and to his fish farm in Florida.

We will have the usual raffles and mini auction and Spencer may be bringing a few fish to the auction from his farm. (That part is still up in the air.)

As we get a little closer I will provide more information.</span>

PVAS is canceling the "meet-the-speaker" dinner. Sunday, 11 May is Mother's Day which probably accounts for the lack of interest.

Probably wise. I remember a mother's day fishing trip that got me in a lot of trouble when I was young and stupid. (Now I'm just old and stupid, but smarter than I was then.)

As for stuff to bring to the meeting, I have some mostly grown Cynotilapia Afra Puulus (an Mbuna) who are an F1 and F2 mix and I might bring 3 or 4 (1 male and two or three females) if there is interest. Or if there is interest I might just bring a male or just a female....

I also have some Aulonocara Stuartgranti Chilumba, mostly F1s, mostly grown, male and female, same deal as the Afras, but only if there is interest expressed.

Sorry, Bolivian Rams are by private sale only this month.......

Later!
Amanda.

Just talked with our speaker and it does appear that we will have a box of
fish to auction off from his fish farm. Do not know what type yet.

It was a great talk; sort of put in perspective the extremes some of us go to and highlighted some of the extreme personalities many of us who love cichlids endure and project.
