LED Lighting suggestions

Currently I only have 2 led strips that came with the setup looking for suggestions on a good led light preferably under $120. The tank has val, anubias, crypts and java fern and fish are cyprichromis. Plants are doing ok with the strips but wanted something better.

I run Currents leds from Amazon. They work great and they are cheap.

I can vouch for the Finnex Stingray as a light that would work for those plants.

As Cory and Blaise have said, the Current Satellite and Finnex led lights are good. The two brands have several different models and whether a particular model will work for you depends not only on the type of plants but also the depth of your tank. You might want to do some research. There are lots of posts out there on the interwebs on this topic.

Current Satellite plus unless it's a very large tank, since your plants are mostly low-light. They will stand by their warranty and I haven't had issues with power supplies blowing like I have on finnex.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Currently it would be for a 46 gallon bowfront but I’ve been thinking about upgrading the 46 to a 72 bowfront. I have a current satellite + on my 65 gallon and have had no issues the couple years I’ve owned it just wanted to see what other options were good.

I have not tried these, but plan on trying them on a 40g breeder. I think it would fit your 46g bow.

Others can speak to this better than I, but my impression is that Beamswork has been improving in quality recently. They're priced low enough to pique my interest.

But then Andrew had a used Finnex Ray 2 at BFD at a price too good to pass up. Sure, my basement glows like Emilio Estevez's car trunk in Repo Men, but I couldn't say no.

Since the current satellite top out at 60" and I'm running a 125 (72") would you guys suggest doing 2 36"?

Yes. Or, find yourself some LED spotlights.

I have the Beamswork LED that Blaise mentioned. It seems to do a nice job with my low light plants and it was pretty inexpensive. Just yesterday I saw the Aquaneat LED on Amazon and thought I’d give it a try. It’ll be here tomorrow.

Also, on other tanks, I’ve had success with the Aqueon Modular LED light. I currently have one of each tube, white, red, and blue on a 90 bowfront. It does a good job growing Anubias, Buce, and a few Crinium plants.

I have Currents and Aqueon modular and like them both. Downside to the Aqueon is the width/depth of the light on smaller tanks. I switched to Currents on my 30 gallon and my 40B because the Aqueon modulars wouldn’t allow my lids to stay open.
