I have a piece of grapevine wood that I have never used. I got it and some other pieces at the MARS expo for my bearded dragon and I have never used this one. I've been reading up on it on the web and am getting conflicting ideas. Has anyone on here ever used it? If so, what is your experience with it?

I've heard the conflicting stories too. I've been using it for 6 months. It gets a white fuzzy stuff on it the first week or two, it goes away and the wood gets dark. I love the look of the stuff but don't know what to expect on longevity.

I'm interested in this topic, too. I have a lovely piece soaking in a tub. It's now sinking OK but does seem a bit "slimy"

I placed the piece I have into a bucket of water last night. I'm going to keep it soaking for the next couple of weeks until my QT tank is open. Then I'm going to place it in there with a couple of endlers and see what happens.

I actually put it in my tank today. It looks very cool. One piece is very tall, nearly reaching to the top of a tall tank. and my BN plecos are very happy with it. Whatever the "slime" was from soaking it for weeks apparently is to their liking.
