This is my first time to post on any forum.Seems like so much info and help available. My tank I have is a 90G that I've had going for about 7 years. It started as a planted tank. It was a losing battle against the hard well water with a high ph. The high output light and the co2 injection was a big help but I have moved on. I have africans in the tank for about 3 years. I have got fish from Randallstown, Scales, and Rockville with no coherent plan. Now I have found this group I need help with a plan. I'm not even sure exactly what I have. All help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. 1--3 1/2" - 4" bought as 1" _________ /male
  3. 1--3 1/2" - 4" _________/?
  4. 1--3 1/2" -4 bought as 1" psuedothopheus/ male
  5. 4---2"- 3 1/2 bought as 1" some possible offspring Pseudothopheus / female
  6. 2--1 1/2"- 2" just bought
  7. 2--1 1/2"- 2" just bought
  8. 2--1 1/2"- 2" just bought
  9. Last picture is getting bullied 2 1/2"-3" ___________/male
plus two bristlenoes plecos about 3" that were a hold over from the planted tank.

Lights are two corallife 48" t-5 ( one fixture with 10k and one with actinic)

Filter is Fluval 405.

I plan on going to meeting this weekend. I plan on getting more fish if I can. I have never been to fish meeting, I have been to reptile shows in Have de Grace way back. I don't know if it is the same.

I have also Looking for a 180g for my dream tank full of Frontasa.

Welcome! I live in Clarksville too, just off of Great Star Dr and Rt. 32. Hopefully we can touch base. You have a collection of Africans from Lake Malawi. They come from two of the main groups of Malawi cichlids called mbuna and haps, short for haplochromines. In the long run, most opt to not keep those two groups together, particularly if they have a mind to breed fish. If you like them they can be kept together for some time, though you might lose some due to aggression. Many of us started that way with africans, buying what was pretty and available. :) My advice would be to come to a few meetings, look around on the forum, and then figure out if you want to change your stocking. Most of us have made grand plans, only to remake and remake them. It's all part of the hobby!

I went to my first meeting and my daughter even came with. I have so much to learn. I picked up a Ruby Red Peacock at auction. I think that is going to be my focus to start. An all male peacock/ Hap tank. My daughter wants a small tank in her room and Petco is having dollar a gallon sale. So maybe a 20g long with some shellies.
