Dear all,

I recently moved from the Midwest (Kansas) to the DC area. I enjoy keeping and breeding tropical fish, specially south american and african cichlids. Currently I have a breeding pair of red severums, several festivum, electric blue dempseys, angels (koi and black), peacocks, frontosa, etc. Currently I have 10 tanks (from 10 to 55 g) but plan to quickly expand to 15 by the end of the year and maybe ~25 by next year (no, I am not planning to have a fish store).

I plan to attend the CCA meeting this coming Saturday. Hopefully I will meet some of you and will also join the association.

Is anyone breeding rainbow cichlids (Heterotipaia multispinosa)? I will be interested in acquired some of them.

Look forward for this Saturday

Hey there. Welcome to the club and to Maryland. :)

What kind of peacocks do you keep? They're among my favorites.

I know we have one member that had her rainbows breed - Hollyfish. Can't remember what happened to the fry though...

Hey, welcome to the club. I keep many of the same fish as you. Hollyfish2000 has an actively breeding pair of rainbows. I have a pair that just laid eggs last night, so it will be a while before they are of any size.
