Seriously, I don't know HOW I missed finding you all. You meet barely a mile from my house!!! I'm going to do my best to make it to the November meeting to check it out.
Right now, I've got set up:
40 gal mixed species aquarium, with 3 angels as the focus, that I just converted to a planted aquarium. (my first try with plants, no major trajedies yet)
65 gal african cichlids; mbunas and one tropheus. This is my first venture into the africans...so far so good.
The husband has agreed to one more tank in the house (he hasn't quite realized what a slippery slope this is yet....he'll learn eventually)
I don't have the tank yet or know what will go into it, but because of the way the house is built, we're really shy on wall space (vertical house, lots of windows) so it's most likely going to go into a 3 ft space I've been saving for whatever we get.
Anyhow...I've always been a big fan of the angels (as a kid my parents kept a tank of them in my room) but the african cichilds are turning out to be pretty nifty, too.
See ya in a few weeks!
Christine
