Hello everyone!
I tried posting once before but I have not seen the thread so Im going to try this again. My name Is William and I am new to the forum. I was introduced to CCA by Verbal, Jesse, I bought some cherry shrimp from him at the last meeting. I could not stay because I had plans but look forward to joining and attending.
I had been out of the hobby for a couple of years but I could not stay away! I have recently set up two different tanks, a 55g and a 10g. Currently in the 55 I have a small discus, about an inch, along with 5 German blue rams and about 10 neon tetras. In the 10g I have 6 discus and 2 angels, all less than an inch big. My original plan was to have a Discus only planted tank but the guy that I bought the discus from send me the free samples of the angels and rams so I kept them. I got all of them about two months ago, all less than an inch long.
Now Im having sort of an issue.
This morning to my surprise I found that I had a German ram pair and that they had laid eggs. I did not think this was going to happen this fast since the female is still small, and was just starting to get her coloring.
If anyone has some tips on how I should care for the eggs and if I should take them out or leave them in let me know!

I look forward to sharing my experiences with you guys and learning a ton!

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum, William (or is it Will?)

There are a lot of nice folks here to help you. You might want to try and talk to Frank Cowherd. He's our resident master GBR breeder here. He can give you a lot of advice on his experience on breeding and raising these fish.

(or Bill?) - in any case welcome to the forum - Frank is certainly the go to guy for the Rams but there are many others who will respond I am sure - hope to meet you at the January meeting - have a Merry Christmas with those new little guys.

Will or William it doesn't really matter. I've actually had a bit of bad luck, the eggs were all eaten and one of the males has died ... Not sure what happened but he might of gotten picked on by the other male.
Thank you guys for the warm welcome and look forward to meeting you guys at the meetings.

Welcome to CCA.

I think you will have a better chance of success if you put the spawning Ram pair in the 10 gallon tank and move the other guys to the 55.
