Glossostigma Elatinoides

I just got a copy of nature aquarium world book 3, and I am really taken with one plant which is featured prominantly in many of the tanks. It's called Glossostigma elatinoides. It forms a very lush carpet over the floor of the tank and I get the impression it could take over and get out of hand in short order if not kept in check. Does this plant have a common name? Do any of you have experience with it as far as what kind of care it requires, etc.?

thanks!

It doesn't have a real common name - but people refer to is as 'glosso'.
Aquarium Center usually has some. Generally you need a decent amount
of light to get it to creep along the substrate. Once it gets going it grows
pretty fast, forms a nice carpet and then proceeds to grow all over itself.
Eventually you'll need to rip it all out and replant it.

Now that you have Amano's book - you need to join GWAPA!
The next meeting is near Baltimore at Ivo Busko's place. Try and make it!

BTW - Amano is the key speaker when GWAPA hosts the AGA 2004 Convention
in November here in the DC/Balt Metro area!
