Giant Danio-Tail Bitten Off!!!

Hey everybody, i have a giant danio in my show tank that i separated because my bichir bit his tail off. I dont want him to get an infection so what should i do? Here are some pictures of him.

a dose of melafix in the quarantine tank.. or salt and water changes seems to do the trick..

I have him in a marina breeder box should i move him to a quarantine tank?

if you want him to heal quickly, I think you should.. the breeder box will be ok as well, but since you would have to use bigger doses of melafix or salt, a smaller tank would be better.. or you can put him in a tank with other less aggressive fish?

I can put him in a 20g long by himself.

Giant danio in a breeder box = giant danio that batters itself to death (or jumps out).

Its a big breeder box with a lid and he was doing fine. But i moved him to a 20g kong all by himself and added salt.
