Dennis Heltzel - Creating and Maintaining a Balanced Aquarium

Dennis has been keeping fish (with varying levels of success) since aquariums had shiny metal frames and Dynaflo Motor Filters were considered "high tech". As a teenager, he even learned to sleep with a loud piston pump running in his bedroom (yes, that does explain a lot). He also has a degree in Horticulture and keeps lots of plants, so tanks with a good balance of fish and plants come "naturally" to him. Come join us to get some insight on how to create an ecologically balanced aquarium that supports healthy populations of plants and animals much like you find in nature. And how to keep the inhabitants flourishing as it develops and evolves.
