Dave Schumacher has been passionate about cichlids since the age of 16, with decades of hands-on experience in keeping, breeding,and sharing his knowledge of these remarkable fish. After working for several fish importers and retailers, he launched Dave's Rare Aquarium Fish in 2006, specializing in African cichlids. A founding member of the Hill Country Cichlid Club and now serving his fourth term on the board of the American Cichlid Association, Dave is a respected voice in the cichlid community, known for his expertise, dedication, and advocacy for responsible fishkeeping.
