Thanks for updating my points Sarah. :) I auctioned some of the julie fry several meetings ago. None were in the auction at this meeting. Was I not first bred on the Zaire golds? Didn't know anyone else had them except the former member I got them from. No comp fry for sale yet. I've had a huge die off rate. I've got about 18 at 1/2" and another 24 at maybe 1/4". Quite a reduction as the spawn sizes are about 50-75. I've also got one that's about 1" from the very first spawn. He looks great. :) I may have to remove the chalinochromis from their tank as they haven't spawned since they were added. Thanks also for the compliments. :)

Well, mine are from zaire as well... I just have a location with mine.... they are different looking....

I was debating lol....

I guess I should ask the committee on this one as I'm not sure where I should draw the line.

Never really put much thought into location variants (I am assuming that is what this is).
Could be tricky as some importers can creatively name their fish.
I guess we can allow it and keep a close eye on similar fish that get submitted later.

No big deal. I knew yours were a different variant. I didn't realize that both variants were Zaires which is a fairly LARGE place. :)

Actuall I just looked it up... I was mistaken. Muzi is in Zambia...

Zaire is a country .... so normally this wouldn't count as a real location.

We'll see if this comes up again.... this is a hard issue. As most fish coming out the congo/zaire are just labeled with the country now a days. Though, some fish came out years ago from that area with actual locations.

Although not relevant with our two fish now :)

Some (bad) pics for first check. First two are cyatho foai moliro marble green (in a breeder box with the kilesa I got from you). Third pic is paracyp nigripinnis blue neon.
