Ok folks. I just wrapped up the Fall Biotope issue. It should be on its way to a mailbox near you very soon. This is a great issue with lots of good articles including a breed profile on Pseudotrpheus Socolofi by Michael Moore, and a DIY Sump filter project by Charlie Campisi.

Unfortunately, we've now run through our backstore of articles. We need more member contributions to make the next issue as good as this one! Everyone out there can contribute something: How I got into the hobby, DIY project instructions, breed profiles, collecting trip articles, product recommendations...there are so many possibilities. Don't forget, if you're participating in the BAP program, an article about your recent successful spawn will net you more points! Don't be shy!

:jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy:
These girls are so excited about the next issue. Don't disappoint them.

Thank you Marya for the hard work. This one took her a little time. One of the articles was on the large side so it took some work to get it in there...lol In fact this one is, I think, 4 pages longer than usual.

Okay guys we need those articles. Like I have said before, everyone can write one. Tracey goes over them to make sure they sound right and have the right punctuations and such. My articles are never technical. Yours can be but do not need to be. An article can be long or very short. It does not matter. We all want to read about your fish or your tanks, your lights, your filters, your snails, your plants, you photography or your trip to a fish outing. After all, thats what we have in common. Fish.

We pride ourselves in having original articles each time. Most clubs have to reproduce articles from publication exchanges. So far we have been lucky. Now we are out again and I really don't want to search other clubs for articles.
We need your help.

We also need to sell advertisements in there. We would love to go back to all color. Anyway, enough preaching. :smashfreakB:

Thank you

How about a review of this months speaker or meeting as a story
bring you camera and take a couple of shots.
write it up and submit. you are there anyway. why not.

What about a tape recorder, and then take notes from the recorder afterward? I know I'm in college and all, but I don't take notes well at all.

Most speakers DO NOT allow you to record their talks, either audio or video. Better to just take notes.

It should be more of a review of the meeting than that of the presentation.

How many people,
the topic
who won prizes
how many bags

Just an idea.

This is stating to sound like all of the information I have access to, hmmm....

I can handle this one, I have some good behind the scenes stuff leading up to this one that I can include.

When does the next issue come out?

I'm not sure, but what about the blueprints for some unusuall tank stands? I've got 3 that are not your ordinary ones. One is a long stand that holds 2 75s and two smaller tanks (40B if dad had made the support a little smaller....), another (when finished) will hold a 75, 55, and 30L, and the last (my favorite) holds a 65 and a 37.

And my friend will try for a comic, if your still interested....

Amanda.

Thanks Francine. I had a lot of fun writing it. Next time, I'll try not to have so much fun and limit it to a few less pages! The most aggravating part was having to go back to the stores to confirm the prices for everything. Lesson learned for next time!

You know, I did get 2 of the Biotopes back in the mail. The sticker had come off them so there were no addresses.

Therefore I have no way of knowing who did not get it in the mail.
