I use some PVC breeding "slates" I got off of eBay and love them. Once they are laid, I just remove and hang it upside down from the side of a 10g

What do those look like? I don't think I get what you are talking about. My male angel likes to hide under the slate that is leaning against the tank wall. But he comes out to feed. The female is the big one and she picks at a couple surfaces, but never settles.
