Hello I have a new tank and all of my cyps are either juvies or younger. At what age/size do the males usually start showing any color? I don't even know the ratio I have and although it's exciting to see what I end up with, it's hard to plan on getting more when I don't know what I have...

If you could start a new tank of Shellies...

...what would you do? I've been enjoying my tank of mixed mbunas, but am really interested in the Shellies for a future tank. Based on your experiences, what would you do? What kind would you get? What mistakes would you avoid?
