This is my first time having Pelvicachromis spawn and I have to say they are honestly my favorite fish (although I'll always have a soft spot for L. brevis). I can't get enough of watching them care for the fry. The male will snag a wayward fry now and again and spit them back into the coconut...

Breeding pair of pelvicachromis taeniatus moliwe with fry, I got these guess from Mchambers and I want to thank him for such great fish. These guys bred in my 55 gallon dirted community tank, I hope you can see the babies.

Ok, so I just lost my third female Pelvicachromis taeniatus Moliwe tonight. All three females have suffered the same malady and I've heard rumor that its not uncommon. No other fish in the tank, including the male Moliwe, seem unaffected. When it happens, the female is in full spawning...
