Now that I have participated sufficiently in the club/forum I think it is time to virtually introduce myself.

I'm Travis. I have been in the cichlid (and beyond) hobby since the early 90s. At this point I have a particular fondness for Tanganyika species and am most intrigued by behavior.

Personal information. I recently moved to the DC metro area (March 2009) from Orlando, FL. I am currently a Marine Scientist at NOAA (yes I know more than I want about oil), an evening student at UMD (perhaps I'll be an M.D. one day), and a volunteer at Children's National.

I participated in the Dave's group buy and tomorrow will be my first CCA meeting!

Wow, a Marine Scientist and keeping Cichlids since the early 90's...and you're 25 years old, not bad.

Welcome Travis. Bet you will find this club gets better and better by the month. Will we see you at the picnic?
