Got these in October (?) from Becca Becca . Still trying to get a good picture of the fry, but mom is clearly in breeding colors and guarding. The fry are in a deep pocket of a gnarled piece of driftwood.

I had to put mine outside to get any babies out of them, so you're way ahead of me!
It was kind of weird how it happened, actually. I had been maintaining them around 76.5F because I read that they preferred things on the cooler side of tropical. I'm using an inkbird controller on that tank and somehow the temperature probe fell out of the tank (I'm certain that one of my cats knocked it out). Anyway, by the time I realized it, the temperature in the tank had risen to 86F. I did a quick partial water change and got it down to ~81F and then let it come down the rest of the way overnight. The next day she was fully in breeding colors and had apparently spawned. Important information for my BAP form, I suppose.

Lucky you found it before they cooked.
Just goes to show even with a separate controller, things can still go bad with a heater (or if lucky, good in this case).

Tell me about it. I had done a very large water change earlier that morning and then I went down to check my tanks in the afternoon. I was like "Why does that controller say that the tank is 68.8F? Oh, crap, the probe fell out of the back of the tank!".

It's much more secure now and the slack line has been tied up with a rubber band. Hopefully it'll be more difficult for my cats to play with it.

The fry seem to be gone. Shucks.

I think I'm going to move the adults to a tank of their own and try again. Or maybe I'll move them outside for the summer.
