Matt, I find that they're pretty typical but I found a thread on another forum that said the females were really aggressive with each other. I haven't seen that in my fishroom but they're still on the small side and living in a very busy tank.
So I've heard. They seem to be mostly just brutal to each other. The Mainganos are my peacekeepers. They're big and fast and chase a lot but don't do damage. As soon as any of the others start causing trouble the Mainganos are there butting in to see what's going on. The omnicaeruleus are pretty rough on each other too. I haven't been able to keep more than one male at a time in the 75.
That doesn't bode well for the Neochromis omnicaeruleus long term in the 2'x2'x'1' I have them in...
You may have different luck. Maybe my dominant male is just more of an ass hat than most.
