Hey,
Not sure if something like this has been asked here before, but I figured it would be kind of neat to see which hobbies members have or had BESIDES fish.
I'm sure our interests are varied!

Heck, I'll start, in the rough order I "discovered" my interests over the many years:

1. acrylic landscape painting - did this a bit late teens, early 20s, now my paints are on a closet shelf - need to try this again

2. the art of bonsai - have a small collection that is currently on the back burner and in rough shape because of it

3. home coffee roasting - did this for a number of years, bought green beans from all over the world on the internet, then my roaster went kaputt, now I buy my beans prepackaged in the store, EGADS! Had a dream of opening a coffee shop one day...Did you know that coffee has way more complexity than wine?

4. motorcycle riding - have had my license about 8 months and ride a 2000 Harley Sportster (see my avatar pic)

What about you?????

I have a bunch of used to stuff that I hope once my back is fixed and I lose another 100 lbs I can return to.

I used to be a professional ski instructor just want to get back to enjoying it.
I used to be a white water river guide in North Carolina on the French Broad, Pigeon, and Eu Gaulie Rivers. A nice oar rig and a 6 person seater and I will be happy..

Golf.. love it most difficult and addictive sport I have ever tried. Renditions Golf Course is my favorite up here so far.

Hmmmmm.....

Silversmithing/metal clay (Fire+Metal=Fun!) and gardening, mostly. I used to fence (sabre) but haven't done that in a while. My husband is big into board/card games so I get sucked into those quite frequently (I'm a HUGE Dominion addict).

I'm a golfer as well, but seldom find time for it anymore as the kids get older. I've also spent quite a bit of time on the PS3 playing Call of Duty...

I love karaoke.
I like decorating sports t-shirts with bling and sell them at games.
Baking and decorating cupcakes.
Boating, waterskiing, fishing (I know I shouldn't enjoy that considering I love fish keeping, but I love fighting a fish on the line too, I mostly catch and release).

Thinking about it, my hobbies have tended to wax and wane depending on family stuff.

Before I had kids, I was a homebrewer, and a pretty good one, but stopped shortly after the kids were born.

Then, when my daughter was about 5, I became a recreational soccer coach and did that for quite a few years.

Lately, it's been fishkeeping, now that my kids are quite a bit older.

Gardening during all these periods, as time permits.

Chris, we may need to consult with you on Agricola. We tried playing a two-player game and...well...Marital Harmony took a bit of a beating. We've come to the conclusion that we're interpreting the two-player rules incorrectly.

LOL.

Besides changing water, I try to get outside as much as I can. Always been into mountain biking (not so much last year), but was bitten by the running bug about 6 months ago. Ran a Tough Mudder a few weeks ago and looking to do another obstacle race/mud run soon.

I'm also into shooting guns (own three and looking to pick up another soon), playing World of Tanks (anyone into computer games should check it out) and collecting random crap (mostly antique tools and stuff related to Star Wars).

I have a 480 hp Subaru in my carport that hasn't run in about 4 years. Maria and I did 99% of the work on it ourselves. We used to be members of SCCA and do autocross events religiously as well as the occasional FATT at Summit Point. Unfortunately though, in order to move again, it needs a very very expensive transmission...

Maria has also gotten me into the dog rescue scene. While we don't have room to foster dogs (or the time as we both work some pretty decent hours), we volunteer at events at least once or twice a month. If anyone's looking, please check out the link in my signature for K-9 Lifesavers.... great group with a lot of awesome dogs looking for some love.

I take chorus in school. I am a tenor/bass, and at my school we have a show choir which is singing and dancing, and every about 140 students try out every year (40 make it). I have made it both years that I've tried out!!! We also have 11 consecutive wins at the Martinsburg choral in show choir competition, an participated and won grand champions against 5 high schools, 6 middle schools, and around 6 elementary schools in the music in the parks competition in Hershey park. So yeah I guess it's a hobby! :) (And writing this post I'm repeating saying to myself: Try not to sound like you're bragging, try not to sound like you're bragging!)

I play the drums in the good half of the 7th grade band (who beat both 8th grade bands in a county wide competition and were qualified or state but missed the deadline), i also made it into the jazz band for drum set and beat a bunch of 8th graders in the tryouts. I take drum lessons after school as well. I take private tennis lessons for 4 hours a week. Am on a tennis team part of the year. Am on a soccer team ( were moving up to division 1 after destroying everyone in division 2). And then there is school. And then the fish, I currently have 5 tanks setup and am working on getting my parents to let me have a fish room.
