Who's Who

I've looked at the web page regarding the Breeder's Award Program, and I've looked at the standings both on-line as well as in the Biotope. The big question in my mind is this...

How many people are actually participating?

I only see three names but there's got to be more isn't there? And I can't believe that nobody's bred Yellow Labs yet. Are the standings current? Are there really that few people participating. We have people that are breeding these little guys for sale so there HAVE to be more than 3 members breeding Cichlids out there.

Just curious.....

Being a club that has only been around a few years, we still need to get some things going.
BAP is one of them. Two of us got certificates last year and we hope more will participate.
A lot of our time has been in other areas to get the club going and this one was a later priority.
A regular meeting place, speakers, stuff for the mini auction, and now incorporation have taken more time and effort. Also the fact that we are spead across 3 states has not always helped with people checking fry. We are working on it. We need to get you on there too. The more that are there, the more that will participate?

I agree that the more who participate will generate even more interest. So...I will do my part. I will volunteer to be a checker, and will do my best to help generate more interest by breeding more fry! ;)

If you also need manpower to hlep with the paperwork, please don't hesitate to ask. I generally have free time during the day to work on things. (I guess I better start by writing that Biotope article.)
