White spots on anubias leaves

I just got some anubias plants and some of the leaves have something on them I've never seen. They have white "flakes" on them that look as if you scattered white fish food flakes over them and some fell onto the leaves. It doesn't rub off. It's not hair algae or fuzzy in any way. I tried dipping the leaves in Excel, but that didn't do anything. thoughts?

Could be dried calcium deposits???? Did you try lightly scraping them off with your finger nail. Another though was dried snail eggs.......

I would take a small piece of filter fluff or a soft sponge and try to wipe over the spots. I use pieces of filter fluff to wipt the leaves of my anubias when they get algae on them.
