Who you calling "Dude"?

Dude yourself - the title of the post was "What New Worlds are in your collection?" - nowhere did it specify cichlids only. And check your taxonomy - unless there was some recent major re-alignmnet that I missed Apistogramma are still classed as cichlids. Dude indeed....:D

Ask Julio about the Ranger Pleco next time you see him. It's an export from Peru but there's a complicated story behind it that I don't remember.

The price for these fish has really skyrocketed. There were some going for a reasonable price at the 2012 ACA in Indy. Now they are $150 apiece I just saw for WC.

I actually have the fry from the BAP submission that won the 2011 ACA Spawn of the year. I managed to raise 2 pair out of that group of 5. Unfortunately I lost the best male out of those two pair and my other pair lays eggs but I have been unsuccessful in getting any fry.

The tank raised are definitely not as aggressive as the WC which I have heard are brutal.

Right now i only have angel fish (and 2 bettas) but am looking at possibly setting up a New World tank (29 gallon) so if anyone has any ideas on what I could try I would be interested in knowing what I could do :)
