Okay, What big aquariums have you been to and how would you rate them on a scale of
1-10

I will start. Dont have to know the names. Where is it. Oh, Yeah, and why the rating

National Aquarium in Baltimore--------- 7.5 Home town. Some of the displays are too small to see.

Dallas Texas -----------------------------2.0 more birds, lions and snakes than fish in the place.

Monteray aquarium ---------------------8.0 Very interactive for Kids.

Shedd in Chicago ------------------------8.5 Large displays that you could see even when crowded

I've only been to the National Aquarium in Baltimore and Sea World in Florida, which isn't really an aquarium.... I'd say they are an aquatic critter display place.

National Aquarium: 7 Tanks tend to be small, the Amazon Exhibit was not very well done and smaller then the National Zoo in Washington (which has a FANTASTIC Amazon display).

Sea World: 8 Would be higher but they don't have many fish displays (at least I don't remember that many, but its been a LONG time sice I was there (10+ years) and I'm not all THAT old now...). What a park it would be if they did!

I can't remember all the ones I've been to lolol.

I don't remember the names of the ones I saw in Australia but they kicked all the ones I've seen in the USA booty ! SO the Aussies get a 10 !

Sea World in San diego .... 8 ... don't like this place much but have worked for them in the past and it's a pleasure to worth with them.

Montery ... 9 ... I was young ( 15 or so ??? )when I went and saw this one. Like Pat said... great for the kids :)

National Aquarium .... 8 ... I think thier fresh water displays need a lot of work.

Sea World in Florida .... 7 ... Didn't like this one at all but it's done "ok"

I've heard the ones in NC are good... maybe next year instead of diving I'll get to go LOLOL

Shedd in Chicago-8 Like the layout an accessiblity to see the displays.

National in Baltimore-8 Like the attractions and rain forest.

Sea World in Orlando- Only thing I remember is my four year old daughter feeding the dolphins...she's thirty now.

I'm sure I've been to the Baltimore one, but it had to be years ago when I was in grade school on a field trip so I wouldn't remember it all too well. I went to the Aquarium in Seattle 3 years ago. It was OK, but nothing great. I did get to touch a sting ray though! I'd give it a 6. It was worth it to go, I suppose, but I wouldn't trip over myself to go back to it again.

I have been to the National Aquarium in Baltimore which is nice

and the Pittsburgh Zoo aquarium which was small but had a nice mbuna set up that you oculd walk thru under an archway. It was way overstocked but still pretty cool to see.

Baltimore - 7
New Orleans - 7
Chattanooga - 9
Sea World Orlando - 8
DC - 5
London - 8
Berlin - 6
Portugal - 6

Also been to the Hong Kong fish markets where they sell every kind of live fish you can imagine. Not an aquarium per se but still interesting to see.

I'm probably forgettting a few. :smashfreakB:

Pat, didn't you and Tracey go visit the Cincinatti aquarium in '03?
I have heard a lot of good things about the New Jersey aquarium, too, but have never managed to drag myself up there.
