What a steal!!!!!

Got a call from my local Petco. Manager "Mike" called me and said a customer had left for adoption some cichlids that he could not maintain in the store. He asked me if I could take atleast one of them off his hands. I was shocked to see this beautiful Pike Cichlid when I got to the store. For 3.00 I walked away with one of the best looking fish to ever live in my tank. Does anyone know what kind of pike cichlid this is?

Looks likeit may be a c. lenticulata to me. If so, you got one hell of a good deal. One that size could easily go for $75+.

It's either that or a johanni. My local Petco had a few last summer. I bought one and took it back an hour later. Didnt want to commit to a fish that gets that big.

Thanks guys! Yes, he was a deal and I'm so glad that I have made connections at different stores. This pike cichlid is about 7-8 inches long and I know he would sell for at least 100 bucks. Gives me a reason to buy a bigger tank too- He's ok in my 75 gallon tank with my 8inch Green Terror, and 6 inch Jaguar Cichlid but i have a feeling he's going to out grow this tank.

Very nice looking Lent. Wow and only $3.00? That fish is worth way more than that, nice pick up.
