I RARELY lose fish, but over the past month I've lost (now) 5 Julidochromis transcriptus "Bemba". Found the culprit:

I've had these Alt. Compressiceps Sumbu Shell "Dwarf" for 5 years, here is an old sale thread for them:

I kept these two as they seemed to have paired up. They are about 2" and I THINK this is as big as they will get. The bembe's are about an inch...sigh, so bummed. I'm looking for a used 180g to upgrade.

Wow. I have kept calvus and comps before. don't think I ever saw them munch anything that big. They are great fry munchers though.

Thanks all. Ya know, I feed them well, 4-5x a week they get a variety of frozen (brine, blood worms, emerald entree, mysis, LRS...etc), once a week I give em flake. Once I find that 180g, these fish will move over, and I'll use the 75g for a species only Bembe tank. That's today's plan anyway.........
