US Army tried to kill my Dragon

Since it was so beautiful outside today, I took my bearded dragon outside. We'd been outside for about 30 minutes. She was sitting in her usual spot on my shoulder when 2 US Army helicopters flew over our house. Penny, my dragon freaked. She dove off my shoulder and onto the ground and then took off running. She squeezed through the chain link fence and proceeded to bury herself in a pile of leaves. I got to her and she immediately tried to bite me. She seemed to be in a state of shock for a few minutes and then all she wanted to do was get hold of me with her teeth. She's calmed down now and ate her entire bowl of greens. Now she is basking in the comfort of her cage and giving me the evil eye...

Not sure whether to LOL or give you condolences
Now that I know she's fine, I am laughing too. She acts all big and bad trying to bully everyone all the time, but 2 little helicopters fly over head and she heads for the hills, lol.

wow your dragon is lucky it was caught again
That was my greatest fear when she took off. I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to find her. It was pretty cool to see her instincts take over when she buried herself because a "predator" flew over head.

I think she has forgiven me for allowing the US army to fly over our home, lol. She happily accepted pieces of strawberry from me just a little bit ago.

Maybe if you scored a ground-to-air missle or two she would feel safer. Sure glad you found her quick.

There was this lady on Fatal Attractions who used pretty colored harnesses on her crocs. Maybe you should see if you can find one for your dragon. If you do please post a pic. :)

I actually have a harness for her. It works ok. She can get out of it fairly easily if she maneuvers the right way.

She's been a very nice dragon since "the incident". Eating nicely from my hands, very active, and wanting to be held. Maybe she figures if she's nice I'll never take her outside again where the helicopters live.

Poor girl was supposed to get her bi-weekly bath yesterday. But I didn't have the heart to put her through it after all she went through. She'll get her bath tomorrow.
