Alligator Snapping Turtle/Past Pres
Like most folks here, before I got into the cichlids (believe it or not) I kept other fish. While I've had some cichlids since 2000, I was really into planted community tanks for a while and also reefs for a stint. Here's some pics of our non-cichlid tanks.
ENJOY!
-6 Gallon Desktop Reef (at work): Mixed easy corals, Yasha Hasa Goby, Candy Cane pistol shrimp. Super low maintenence.
-26 Bowfront Reef (basement): Mixed easy corals (LPS, shrooms), Pair ocellaris clowns, Royal Grama, 6-Line wrasse - Yeah, it needs a bit of cleaning, sorry.
-45 Planted (kitchen): Easy plants, Rainbow fish, tetras, Siamese Algae Eater, lots of Ottos. (Moderately) High Tech; CO2, undergravel heater, fluorite onyx, but have become a bit slack on adding the fertilizers lately.
-20 Gallon Long Turtle Wet/Dry (basement): Red Eared Sliders... procured illegally small from the streets of NYC China Town.
They are about 6 years apart, the older being about 8 years old. They love meal worms and the occasional moth that is foolish enough to intrude into our casa.
Anyway, Sorry for the dirty glass and out of focus and/or poorly lit shots. I'm still learning.
We have a couple of other cichlid-related tanks that aren't on the rack or the 110. I'll post pics of them in the appropriate sections on the forum.
Thanks for looking.
