Today in Sonny's Fishroom: Letourneauxi on nest

I've been feeding the letourneauxi heavily, to get them conditioned for spawning. I threw in a boatload of shrimp pellets this moring, and when I came back tonight, they were all breeding heavily--a sure sign of overload. I drained the tank down to within two or three inches of the bottom, then refilled it. I came back about fifteen minutes later, then found mama guarding her eggs.

Nice surprise. I hope hatching goes well. Awful nice color on her.

Thanks anyway, all. The eggs were gone today. Maybe it had something to do with forgetting to plug the heater back in after the water change. I'll do another big water change Saturday.

Thanks, guys. I'm wondering if the eggs were picked off by the accidental yo yo loaches that ended up in their tank. I'll do a big water change tomorrow and tank the yo yos out and see if they spawn again.
